The Rampion Offshore Wind Farm has achieved its 2024 energy target.
Operated by RWE, the wind farm in the English Channel has generated enough electricity to power more than 409,000 homes.
This is equivalent to supplying energy to half the homes in Sussex.
The wind farm’s efforts have also helped reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 600,000 tonnes annually, operators said.
Dan Allen-Baines, general manager of Rampion Offshore Wind Farm, said: "As we go into our eighth year of operation, we are proud to have once again met our target, and to have continued to recruit and employ local people at our operations base in Newhaven."

Rampion is of course the monstrosity that ruins the view from Brighton beach.
But amidst all of the claims about supplying 409,000 homes and saving 600,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide, there is no mention that Rampion has now been paid £895 million of subsidies.
If those 409,000 homes had to pay the full cost of the power supplied by Rampion, it would have cost each £2188, on top of the normal price.
In 2023, Rampion Offshore Wind Ltd made a pre-tax profit of £139 million.
