I’ve just looked at the BBC weather forecast, and it appears that high pressure is going to continue to dominate throughout this week and well into next.
The Met Office agrees:
.
The high pressure is expected to be centred over Europe this week at least, meaning that wind output will be low across the continent as well:
Wind power in Britain is currently running at just 1.35 GW:
And amid the murky conditions, solar power only got to 1.46 GW yesterday. Over the day as a whole, it averaged 131 MW, less than 1% of installed capacity:

I’ll keep monitoring this as the week goes on.
